Hon. Lydia Wanyoto, today’s morning, hosted pre-Easter prayers by inviting all christians and community in their respective capacities at her residence in Maluku, known as the Command Center.
The event brought together members of the community and churches, who gathered to seek God’s blessings and guidance.
Hon. Wanyoto expressed her gratitude to God for guiding her journey and enabling her to reach her current positions she holds to dateShe officially announced her bid for the Woman MP seat for Mbale City, emphasizing her commitment to the NRM party’s roadmap.

She urged the attendees to pray for her success in the upcoming NRM primaries set to take place in July and general elections for Jan 2026.Hon.
Wanyoto also fulfilled her pledges to different church choirs, including St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Nabyeya Church Choir, and St. Peter’s Choir, donating UGX 1 million to each to support the purchase of choir uniforms.
She also highlighted her efforts to push for the approval of land titling for landowners in Mbale City, sponsored by the government.She also discussed the 79 billion shillings compensation to the Ndaula and Semei Kakungulu families for land acquisition by the government.
She finally concluded by distributing Easter packages (“Lisuusi”) to the attendees to enjoy with their families and neighbors and wished all of them a blessed Easter and safe journey to their destinations.
Rev. Jackson Magombe, Chairperson of Clergy House, also thrown his weight behind Hon. Lydia Wanyoto, endorsing her candidacy during a pre-Easter prayer service.
In a heartfelt appeal, He urged the congregation to support Hon. Wanyoto’s bid for Parliament, envisioning a future where she would represent the people in the esteemed house.
Rev. Magombe’s message conveyed a vision for Hon. Wanyoto to represent the people’s interests in Parliament, fostering development and progress.

Hon. Lukaye Wilson, aka “inyayisa” Councilor for Industrial City Division in Mbale City, made a passionate endorsement of Hon. Lydia Wanyoto during a pre-Easter prayer service.
He described Hon. Wanyoto as the “hope of Mbale City” and urged attendees to support her bid come July for NRM flag bearer and 2026 general elections
He questioned the people’s decision not to send Hon. Wanyoto to Parliament in 2021, suggesting that their current situation could be attributed to this choice.
He emphasized Hon. Wanyoto’s ability to deliver development, citing her positions in CEC and Cabinet as evidence of her access to resources and influence.He urged attendees to vote for Hon. Lydia Wanyoto for the benefit of Mbale City, expressing gratitude for their turnout at the pre-Easter prayers.
