Today, observe Ash Wednesday, a solemn day of reflection and repentance as we begin the holy season of Lent. This day reminds us of our humanity, our need for God’s grace, and the call to turn our hearts back to Him.
As we receive the ashes on our foreheads, we are reminded of the words from Genesis 3:19: “For you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” This humbling truth calls us to acknowledge our dependence on God and to seek His mercy. In this season of Lent, let us take time to pray, fast, and give to those in need. Let us examine our lives, repent of our sins, and draw closer to God.
As it is written in Joel 2:12-13: *”Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.”*May this Ash Wednesday be a meaningful start to a transformative Lenten journey.
Let us walk together in faith, hope, and love, trusting in God’s boundless mercy and grace.Blessings to you all,
