Dr. Aceng Jane Vanishes from Lira city public functions.
PANIC, LIES, BLACKMAIL, PROPAGANDA NOW DEFINES MINISTER OF HEALTH CAMP, AS LIRA CITY SLIPS AWAY FROM HER…..
It is now confirmed that Hon. Betty Amongi, MP Oyam South and Minister of Gender, labour, and Social Development will contest for Lira City Woman MP in 2026. Ever since she declared her intention, she has injected over 500 million through supporting churches, providing cheap capital for women in businesses at only 10% per annum, and supporting other Social ventures.
Hon. Amongi has become an instant household name in Lira City: her unique branded service Van is one of the most popular transport option for city dwellers, being use to go for weddings, burials and other social gatherings. The impact is unmeasured.
The momentum built by Amongi has forced Dr. Aceng Jane to seek for the intervention of H.E, Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, and First Lady to stop Amongi from contesting in Lira City and allow her to serve only one more term. Amongi seems determined not to buldge and has assured her supporters that the President doesn’t enter local politics and in such circumstances, he will advise that the voters should be allowed to determine who they want, from among the two daughters.
Aware that Amongi is now determined to contest, supporters of Dr. Aceng, with her concurrence, continues to create propaganda, most of which drag in the name of the President and the first family. The latest is the one that Hon. Amongi ferried Lira City dwellers in 10 buses to storm Rwakitura, the residence of the President without appointment. This fabricated story is untrue. Our sources has confirmed that the people being referred to are war debt claimants who travelled to Rwakitura under the leadership of their Chairman Mr. Adonyo. They were falsely transported with the claim to meet the President over the issue of their cattle compensation issue.
Hon. Betty Amongi, calm as always, has refused to be dragged into such Propaganda choosing to concentrate on grassroots mobilisation, arguing that Dr. JANE ACENG still remains her sister irrespective of their common political interests of contesting in Lira City. She has urged her supporters to focus on mobilising voters, not on creating or answering Propaganda and Blackmail
