Nathan Nandala Mafabi Announces Candidacy for Uganda’s 2026 Presidential Race
In a significant declaration, the esteemed Member of Parliament for Budadiri West, as well as the Secretary-General of the Forum for Democratic Change and Chairman of Bugisu Cooperative Union, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, has unveiled his ambitions to run for the presidency in the upcoming 2026 elections.
Nandala emphasized that, despite the significant developments by the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) during its forty-year tenure, much remains to be accomplished. According to him, it’s time to initiate comprehensive reforms and set the country on a new trajectory.
Addressing Uganda’s challenges, Nandala pinpointed issues of wastage, mismanagement, and corruption as key concerns. He stressed the need for a fundamental shift in the mindset of the people to tackle these problems effectively.
