Nkoma Senior secondary school bans Scripture union And warns Christians to Embrace Islam or he deals with them
Nkoma SS is a Moslem founded school found in mbale city in eastern part of Uganda. It’s one of the historical schools in Uganda and currently the highly populated school in Uganda.
The headteacher issued this statement and warned all Christians at this school to embrace Islam or he together with the board deals with them.
It’s claimed that Christians makes the biggest number of both teachers and students at this school and historically this segregation has been there but not so open like now.
According to the constitution of Uganda there is freedom of worship and at this school scriptural union has existed just like any other club.
When our sources tried reaching Christian students at this school they clearly stated that they are not even allowed to contest for top positions like Head perfect and head girl, these positions are for only Moslems.
If one contests for a another top positions is technically disqualified.
Even teachers can’t be in top positions at this school if they are not Moslems, according to the ministry of education, it is investigating this matter because it’s aware that for the last two weeks scripture union club has been banned from this school.
Even the coordinators who represent O and A level are Moslems who are not even on government Payroll but they are just friends to the head teacher and they even decide transactions on behalf of the school.
Even the scholarships for sports and other opportunities are disqualified at this school.
It’s high time for the government to intervene into this religious affiliation because these schools have to embrace the national description.
