The Senior Presidential Advisor and Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has reaffirmed President Museveni’s commitment to empowering faith-based leaders and their followers through government-backed wealth creation programs.Hajjat Namyalo was the guest of honour at the Leaders and Pastors Empowerment Summit at Dynamite Church, Bukoto on Wednesday afternoon.
The summit, organized by the Reformed Generation of Pastors & Preachers Association (RGPPA) brought together religious leaders from and around Kampala to discuss economic empowerment and self-sustainability within faith communities.
Speaking to the congregation, Hajjat Namyalo emphasized the principles of Musevenomics, a wealth creation ideology championed by President Yoweri Museveni. She urged faith leaders to embrace government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga, which are designed to uplift communities and drive economic transformation in line with the NRM Party Manifesto.
“The church plays a key role in shaping society, and economic empowerment should be part of that mission. We are ready to support pastors and their followers through initiatives that promote self-reliance and sustainable development,” Hajjat Namyalo stated.”We as Office of the National Chairman, under President Museveni Jajja Wabazzukulu will work hand in hand with the Apostle to deliver equipment to you the Bazzukulu so that you can empower yourselves by being self-employed to enter the money economy,”
she added.As we head into the busy 2026 election period, Hajjat Hadijah urged the believers to be very keen on the people they vote in power at various local council levels up to parliament, as this directly affects the service delivery at the grassroots level.
“This is because, they are either not in line with the ruling government, or they do not care at all. Therefore, my word to you is, don’t be used to the extent of being lured with handouts in exchange for votes,” Hajjat remarked, urging the believers to vote for Minister for Kampala, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda, who is an aspiring Member of Parliament for Kampala Central Division.
On her part, Minister Kabanda, who also graced the summit as a Special Guest urged the pastoral leaders and Bazzukulu believers to ensure they strike a balance between church schedule and their day-to-day work so that they can actively engage in government programmes where millions of money is disbursed for socio-economic transformation.
“Yes, you come to church, but after your prayers, go and work, this is how you’ll get what to put for the stomach,” Hajjat Kabanda noted, adding; “Emyooga, PDM, and now GROW project, are initiatives that are meant to benefit you.”The Minister pledged to return with trainers from the Microfinance Support Centre (MSC) where such funds are disbursed, to sensitize the church about the procedures and processes to access those funds. Hajjat Minsa ended her speech by declaring her intentions to stand as Kampala Central Member of Parliament on the NRM ticket, a position currently occupied by Hon Muhammad Nsereko, and urged the church members to rally behind her in a bid to reclaim the city under the NRM government so that services can extend very closer at the grassroot level.
Support for Local EntrepreneursEarlier on arrival, Hajjat Namyalo was warmly received by Apostle Benson Kayondo, the lead pastor and President of RGPPA who took her around an exhibition showcasing handmade crafts, including handbags, shoes, and kitengi clothing, all created by believers as part of their income-generating activities.In a show of support, the SPA purchased several items and donated them to the Bazzukulu, encouraging local artisans to maximize opportunities within government programs to expand their businesses.
The Pastors’ Summit climaxed with prayers from pastoral leaders for the NRM political hopefuls who included Kizito Moses Nsubuga (Aspiring Lord Mayor Kampala City), Herbert Anderson Burora (Aspiring Nakawa West MP) and Hajjat Minsa Kabanda (Kampala Central) to enable God to see them through in the 2026 elections.
The event also marked yet another milestone in Namyalo’s ONC efforts to bridge the gap between faith-based institutions and economic empowerment initiatives, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive development.
