The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has continued its impactful outreach to Muslim communities with Day 2 of its Eid Al-Adha donation campaign, led by ONC Manager and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye. The campaign, executed on behalf of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, aims to support Muslims across the country in celebrating one of the holiest occasions in the Islamic calendar.
The day’s activities began at Masjid Al-Hidaaya in Banda, Nakawa Division, where Hajjat Namyalo donated a cow along with food items including rice, posho, and sugar. She was warmly received by Muhamood Bukenya, the mosque chairman, who commended ONC for its generous support.
“We are truly grateful for this timely support as we prepare for Eid Al-Adha,” said Chairman Bukenya. “The donated animals will go a long way in ensuring that many families can celebrate with joy.
”From Banda, Hajjat Namyalo proceeded to Masjid Noor Seeta UMEA in Mukono District, where she donated another cow and food items. She also made a personal pledge to contribute toward the completion of the mosque, which is still under construction. The announcement was met with loud cheers and praise from the faithful gathered at the mosque.
The campaign then moved to Masjid Taqwa in Zirobwe, Luwero District, where Hajjat Namyalo was received by the Head of Sheikhs in Luwero District, Sheikh Zaidi Nyanzi, and Sheikh Swalahudin Nurudin Ssendagire. As in previous locations, she delivered a cow and food packages to support the Muslim community in preparation for Eid.
Hajjat Namyalo concluded today’s donations at Masjid Saeed Al Majdour in Kasangati, where she once again extended a cow and food items to the Muslim faithful. The warm reception and gratitude from the congregants underscored the impact and appreciation of the ongoing ONC outreach.
Today’s continuation of the campaign follows a successful Day 1 rollout, where ONC reached out to Muslim communities in Kisenyi, Kibuli, Kawempe, Nansana, and Masajja, delivering cows and food items in celebration of Eid Al-Adha.
Eid Al-Adha, or the “Festival of Sacrifice,” commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) unwavering faith and obedience to Allah. Muslims observe the occasion by slaughtering animals and sharing the meat with family, friends, and the needy, embodying values of sacrifice, generosity, and compassion.
While addressing the faithful, Hajjat Namyalo emphasized that these acts of kindness were made on behalf of President Museveni, whom she referred to as Jajja to the Bazzukulu.
“His Excellency the President sends his love, blessings, and warmest Eid greetings to all Muslims,” she said. “Through ONC, we are ensuring that our Muslim brothers and sisters across Uganda celebrate with dignity and joy.
”She encouraged the Muslim community to reflect on the lessons of Eid—obedience, unity, and giving back to others—and urged Ugandans to embrace the President’s call for wealth creation and job generation as a pathway to national development.
“This is not just a seasonal gesture. Supporting our communities during Eid has become a tradition of ONC. We shall continue to deliver these blessings to even more areas in the days to come,” Hajjat Namyalo affirmed.
As ONC’s Eid campaign gains momentum, it continues to highlight the government’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity, spiritual unity, and community empowerment across Uganda.
