In a remarkable display of unity and community spirit, the City of Kampala hosted its first-ever Street Iftar dinner, bringing together thousands of people from all walks of life.
The event, held along the Buganda Road stretch from CPS to KPC, was organized by President Museveni’s @ChiefMuzzukulu and @ONC_NRM Manager, SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye.
The “Abaavu Tweyambe” dinner, which translates to “Let’s Help Ourselves,” was a groundbreaking initiative that fostered a sense of community and togetherness among Kampalans.
The event saw participants from various political affiliations, including NUP, FDC, and PLU, come together in a spirit of unity and solidarity.At exactly 7 pm, Hajjat took center stage, serving the gathering with fruits, juice, and food to break their fast.
In her address, she applauded the participants for turning up in large numbers and urged them to actively participate in the government’s wealth creation programs aimed at socioeconomic transformation.
This historic event marks a significant milestone in promoting unity and social cohesion in Uganda.
The success of the Street Iftar dinner is a testament to the power of community and the importance of coming together to promote understanding and solidarity.
