Walela Martin has emerged victorious as the Vice Chairperson of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Workers League in Mbale District. With a strong background in leadership, Martin previously served as Youth Councilor from 2011 to 2016 and Workers Councilor from 2016 to 2021 in Mbale District.
Following a fiercely contested election, Martin pledged to bolster mobilization efforts for NRM candidates across Mbale District. His vision is to work tirelessly to increase support for President Yoweri Museveni in the upcoming general elections, aiming to raise the party’s percentage in the region.
Martin is calling on the people of Mbale District to unite and work together for the success of the NRM party. He emphasized the importance of collective effort in driving the party’s agenda forward, not just in Mbale District but also in the broader Bugisu region.
As Vice Chairperson, Martin will play a key role in strengthening party structures at the district level. His experience in leadership and mobilization will be crucial in driving the party’s initiatives and promoting President Museveni’s agenda.
