When you grow a disconnect between the people who give you legitimacy, who are the ultimate resource for the transformation of any Nation, when you grow a disconnect between your culture because every revolution have a cultural effect, You now lose everything because culture defines who you are and what you stand for. This has been one of the biggest reasons as to why pan africanism has failed to be a success.
The delay in can be attributed to factors like post-colonial legacies;
This refers to the enduring effects of colonial rule on African nations after gaining independence. These legacies include artificial borders imposed by colonial powers, which often do not align with the ethnic or cultural divisions within the continent. The resulting tensions and disputes over these borders contribute to challenges in achieving Pan-Africanism. Additionally, the socioeconomic structures established during colonial times, favoring certain regions or groups, persist and contribute to economic disparities among African nations, hindering the unity envisioned by Pan-Africanism.
Economic disparities;
In the context of Pan-Africanism it refers to significant differences in wealth, development, and resources among African nations. Some countries may be more economically advanced, while others face poverty and underdevelopment. These disparities create challenges for collaboration and unity, as nations with varying economic strengths may have divergent priorities and interests. Addressing these economic gaps is crucial for fostering Pan-Africanism, requiring initiatives that promote economic integration, equitable development, and shared prosperity across the continent.
Political differences;
Political differences among African nations present a significant hurdle to achieving Pan-Africanism. Diverse political systems, ideologies, and governance structures can lead to conflicting interests and priorities. Some countries may favor different diplomatic alliances or have contrasting views on regional integration. Political instability in certain regions further complicates efforts to establish a unified approach towards achieving pan africanism.
Other factors For instance, historical borders drawn during colonial times often don’t align with ethnic or cultural divisions, creating tensions. Economic inequality among nations and varying development levels pose challenges for collaboration. Political instability and differing governance systems also contribute to the delay.

Infrastructure Development: Invest in cross-border infrastructure projects, such as transportation and energy networks, to facilitate the movement of goods and people within the continent.
Harmonization of Policies: Align economic policies and regulations across nations to create a conducive environment for trade and investment, reducing barriers and disparities.
Common Currency Initiatives: Explore options for common currency or monetary cooperation to enhance economic stability and facilitate trade.
Joint Development Projects:
Collaborating in developmental projects for example the way most states are making their travels visa free.
Addressing Historical grievances.
